Why Do I Feel Hungry After Eating?

Feeling hungry after a meal or feeling hungry all of the time is real for many people. Look through this list to see if you have any of these symptoms when you are also experiencing hunger between meals. These symptoms between meals can indicate low energy also known as hypoglycemia. Your brain is an energy-hungry machine, so if it is not getting enough fuel, it can take control of your metabolism in order to get the fuel it needs to properly function ultimately causing you to feel hungry. This is not a diagnosis for hypoglycemia, but if you do experience many of the listed symptoms, you may want to share this with your doctor as possible signs you have insulin resistance and hypoglycemia. Unfortunately the typical blood screening your doctor performs, a fasting glucose test, will not show you have an issue with blood sugar management until the insulin resistance has advanced. Insulin resistance can worsen over 10 years before your fasting blood glucose indicates a problem with blood sugar management. These symptoms can present before insulin resistance progresses, so they’re great warning signs your body provides to let you know you’re experiencing low energy.
